Nudism

Nudist philosophy and the body

Nudists believe that there is nothing shocking, immoral or inappropriate about the nude human body in all its varied sizes, appearances and forms. All parts of the body are equal and natural and no part or parts should be singled out as something to be hidden or shameful to expose. Feeling that certain body parts must be concealed from view for the sole sake of modesty causes people to have unhealthy feelings of shame about their own bodies and those of others.

Nudist philosophy and values

Nudists embrace the wholesome acceptance of nudity and believe that the practice of both private and communal nudity is healthy from both a physical and mental perspective. In a culture of positive body acceptance promoted and endorsed by nudists, it is believed that human beings develop better body image, acquire more self-esteem, learn greater respect for others and are able to interact socially with others on a more honest and authentic level.
