Can you measure life in an hourglass?

Do you watch as a million grains of sand pass?

Each little rock represents a moment, a feeling, a memory.

They fall into a contained pile underneath.

It’s the years of our lives that we measure,

But its how you live your days that’s important.

What you do in what you say is what you are.

How you treat others should be your focus.

Humans are a social species that find joy in each other.

The people who show respect and care are the ones you will remember.

Sway in the motion of the world like wind through a blade of grass.

Then life will mean more than that dull old hourglass.
