I’ve been looking up definitions of the word ‘swinger; these are a few that I’ve found in a number of different sources:

“a person who dates/sleeps with multiple people at the same time”

“someone who lives an uninhibited lifestyle. A person who engages freely in experimental sexual behavior is an example of a swinger.”

“non-monogamous behavior in which both singles and partners in a committed relationship engage in sexual activities with others as a recreational or social activity.”

“A person who engages freely in promiscuous sex.”

“A member of a couple, especially a married couple, who exchanges sexual partners.”

“A person who engages in group sex or the swapping of sexual partners.”

“Swingers are people who are married or in a long-term relationship and who like to have sex with other couples.”

“a member of a couple that trades partners with other couples, for the purpose of sexual intercourse.”

Some of these seem a bit general to me; I’ve never really thought of myself as a ‘swinger’, but some of these definitions could fit.

What’s your idea of what constitutes a ‘swinger’??
